This project was developed in partnership with Voltron Community Partners -- a fantastic team of visionary developers comprised of Dantes Partners, Spectrum Management, Menkiti Group, and Bailey Real Estate Holdings.
The shortage of affordable housing in Washington, D.C. is a severe challenge for residents. As the city has developed, housing prices in the District have sky-rocketed, leaving D.C.’s lowest income residents burdened by high housing costs. This problem has created ripple effects that are felt by families throughout the city.
Bordering the District’s NOMA and Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhoods, this mid-rise residential tower aids in fulfilling the dire need for more economical dwelling opportunities in the area. The development provides 104 affordable homes with a mix of studios, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom units as well as ample ground-floor retail space.
Ascending from the constraints of its triangular plot, tenants enjoy breathtaking views down New Jersey Avenue toward the U.S. Capitol Building from this Flatiron-inspired structure.
Residents enjoy building amenities such as a fitness room, clubroom, and neighborhood retail at the ground floor, in addition to the abundance of activities that this rapidly-developing Northwest neighborhood offers. Encouraging a low carbon footprint lifestyle, residents are given incentives for the use of public transportation and Capital Bikeshare along with facilities for long-term bicycle storage.
Our design approach to every project includes extensive listening and learning about our clients’ vision.
